Welcome to the mostly incoherant ramblings of me…I don’t quite know why it has taken me so long to start blogging! But here goes…
So having had my iPhone for a month, I have to say am quite amazed. An apple lover I may be, but still I have to confess I was extremely cynical towards the iPhone when they first started popping up in Hong Kong’s mobile phone markets. Why on earth would I swap my brilliant 3G N95 for a 2G iPhone with lower spec. camera and no video camera?

With no warantee, guarantee or apple care and sold in HK’s more illicit establishments, I questioned why so many people bought into the iPhone craze. That is until a friend of mine asked if he could try out my N95 after hearing all great and wonderous things about it. 1 week of testing his iPhone and I was running to Mong Kok to swap my N95 for a jailbroken iPhone.
Why…because as I said before, I am a MAC lover and have long been annoyed by the incompatibility and frustration in trying to sync any of my mobiles with my mac. iPhone and my Macbook are a family, they were born to be together and keep my life in order wherever I may be. My iPhone wins over my classic iPod hands down, with stunning graphics and better sounds. It also allows me to easily (this is the KEY) quickly and easily customise my phone the way I want it. I can choose what applications I want to grace my screen and how I want them to work for me, not against me. It learns how I live, it does not force me to learn how it lives.
The iPhone is a highly intuitive product, giving me what I want before I even know I need it. It allows me to personalise it in a way Nokia never has and make it my own. Despite its flaws, Apple has done it again…I am converted.
